The paper describes the results of metallographic and chemical analyses on a Ti-MMC composites after long thermal exposition: 1000 hours at T=600°C.The results indicate that the interface is interested by a TiC phase precipitation. The thickness of the chemical affected zone is discussed by mean of XPS analyses.
