After winning the international tender launched by the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for the assessment of the tubes of the "second west-to-east gas pipeline” connecting Turkmenistan and China East Coast, Centro Sviluppo Materiali S.p.A. is looking with renewed interest to China as a market of great interest for its core business.

This has been recently evidenced by Company participation to the Italian delegation mission in China, which has been visiting the three (3) main cities of Chongqing, Shanghai and Beijing during the first decade of the current month of June. In these three (3) municipalities, CSM had the opportunity to expand contacts with key Chinese industries operating in the field of Steel, Energy and Transportation, to visit the Italian pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai and celebrate the 2^nd June National Holiday together with representatives from Italian Government, Istituto del Commercio Estero (ICE) and Confindustria’s Company delegates.

After ICE’s formal commitment, CSM extended its presence in China for another week to strengthen its technological partnership with Chinese R&D Centers (SPERI) and Italian Companies operating in the Chinese market, identify strategic alliances to stably enter the China market and select locations for its first  branch office in China.
