Effect of Y/T ratio (Yield to Tensile ratio) on failure probabilities of off-shore pipelines. Two deepwater case studies have been analysed and quantitative evaluation of failure probabilities has been performed, starting from actual material data and actual pipeline characteristics.
Conclusion has been drawn that realistic Y/T ratio do not strongly affect pipelines failure probabilities.
