Coilcheck is a sensor designed to detect and measure both coil telescopicity and diameter by measuring the shadow projected by a lamp.
The coil is monitored by the device while moving along the rolling mill transport line after the strip coiling phase.
CoilCHECK may be also integrated to SISTEC to perform diagnosis on coil defects.
SurfHaze
An optical device for the characterization of the transversal surface unhomogeneity of flat strips taking advantage of a laser beam.
SurfHaze functional principle is based on the reflected light detection carried out by means of two optical groups oriented to capture the radiations in a narrow solid angle (section 3°-10°). The detected light provides users with a measure of the material dullness, by measuring its capabilty to reflect radiation specularly.
