Introduction

The improvement of material's performances in Power Generation Sector, obtained with the development of new materials or a revised engineering approach for existing ones, need a strong collaboration among material producers, engineering companies and final users in order to integrate the different experiences (production process, design, and maintenance).

To overcome this difficulty, CSM with several companies involved in Power Generation field initiated a new initiative named "Osservatorio Tecnologico Permanente: Energy Materials & Power Generation" (OTP EM&PG) aiming to:

• create a stable collaboration network among the most important players of energy sector;
• support and consolidate the technical and scientific competences of members about materials and components in energy applications. This issue will be also pursued by means of dedicated workshop promoted and supported by members;
• organise meetings with con relevant European and extra-European players to discuss issues of common interest, to facilitate the exchange of specific experiences and to facilitate commercial relationships.

Activities

Main OTP activities consists in:

• Technological Bulletin finalised to the monitoring ov relevant scientific and technological news (articles, workshops, events);
• Periodic meetings, to discuss technical topics and promote specific actions;
• Thematic Workshops organisation, in collaboration with Industrial Associations;
• Technical-scientific seminars/lessons with international key speakers coming from recognised scientific leaders;
