The CSM organisation is highly motivated and orientated towards the continuous improvement of its services in order to get to the customers' complete satisfaction.

The Company has realised and implemented its own Quality System following the recommendations and criteria of the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 standard.

The CSM Quality System, which has been certified by RINA (Registro Navale Italiano) in 1998 (code number 1098/98/S), defines the internal procedures and rules governing the activities of R&D, testing and technological transfer carried out by the Company.

Being the management and treatment of pieces of information considered by CSM a strategical asset, a System for the Information Security Management has been also implemented in accordance with the ISO 27001:2005 Standard. This system has been certified by RINA in 2005 (certificate n° 15).

The lab testing procedures have been furthermore submitted to the more selective quality recommendations described by the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard and CSM labs have obtained the SINAL (SIstema Nazionale per l’Accreditamento dei Laboratori) accreditation n° 0002 for some chemical, physical, mechanical and metallographic tests. The accreditation guarantees the competence and impartiality of our Laboratory in performance of the accredited tests by means of periodic technical assessments.

The testing activities for the aerospace industry are also covered by the Technical Rule issued by ENAC (Ente Nazionale Aviazione Civile – National Civil Aviation Agency). This Body has provided CSM’s labs with the certification for chemical, physical and technological tests n° 1006/L.

The main technological lab services of CSM for the Oil&Gas industry have been qualified “Achilles” (Id 25585), the standard followed by the suppliers of the Norway and Danish Oil&Gas industry.

The R&D activities targeting military applications are regulated in accordance with the prescription of the NATO AQAP 2110 (2003) Standard.
